Animal Eye Care (AEC)

About Animal Eye Care (AEC)

Animal Eye Care was established by Dr Robin Stanley in 1991 as the first stand-alone ophthalmology referral practice in Australia. Over the past 3 decades Animal Eye Care has strived to provide the best possible veterinary eye care in Melbourne, receiving eye care referrals from vets throughout Melbourne, country Victoria, Southern New South Wales and Canberra. Robin was the first Australian trained veterinary eye specialist and has since trained four veterinarians to specialist standard and provided training to thousands of veterinarians and students from Melbourne and around the world. Robin's vision remains the same today - to provide a compassionate and caring service for all pets and their owners. Dr Marnie Ford joined Animal Eye Care from Canada where she had her own veterinary ophthalmology practice. Marnie is a unique and talented veterinarian with specialist qualifications in veterinary ophthalmology and a PhD in reproductive endocrinology which she achieved at Monash University prior to her veterinary studies and career. Dr Matt Sanders had a keen interest in ophthalmology since veterinary school and whilst working in England would regularly visit veterinary eye clinics. Matt is a registered specialist in veterinary ophthalmology and has been a part of the Animal Eye Care team since 2016.
